Pho Leo

Our story restaurant

Pho Leo

Pho Leo at 1734 East Main St Ste 5 Mesa, AZ 85203 has quickly become one of my favorite spots for Vietnamese comfort food in the area. As someone who has tried many pho places, I was impressed by the rich, clear broth that highlights the authentic flavors Pho Leo is known for. From the moment I walked in, I felt the cozy, welcoming vibe, perfect for a casual lunch or dinner with friends.

One of the highlights here is the variety on the Pho Leo menu, offering options for traditional beef pho, chicken pho, and vegetarian choices without compromising on the signature depth of flavor. I tried the brisket pho, and the meat was tender, while the herbs and lime brought everything together beautifully. For those looking to explore beyond pho, the spring rolls and grilled pork dishes add another layer to your dining experience, showcasing why Pho Leo & Grill is loved by many.

Browsing Pho Leo photos online doesn’t do justice to how fresh and vibrant the dishes look when they arrive at your table. The portion sizes are generous, and the presentation makes it easy to see why Pho Leo reviews consistently praise the attention to detail and quality. I also appreciate the friendly staff, who take the time to explain menu items if you are new to Vietnamese cuisine, adding to the comfortable neighborhood feel of the restaurant.

What sets Pho Leo and Grill apart from other pho places in Mesa is its commitment to using quality ingredients while maintaining affordable prices, making it easy to become a regular here. Whether you’re grabbing a quick meal or sitting down with family, the casual environment and consistently good food make it a place worth visiting repeatedly.

“ We found this lovely secret on Google Maps as a result of hunger pangs and major traffic between Mesa and Cave Creek. We placed a takeaway order. The menu was extensive, in English and Vietnamese, and very clearly written. The waitress was also the hostess, phone answerer, and busser of dirty tables. She was patient and precise as she glided around the dining room. Our orders were flawless and leanly packaged (no leaks on the car ride home). We ordered two different pho entrees, an assortment of spring rolls, and fried dumplings. The sides of herbs and bean sprouts were fresh! We had enough to heat up the next day for lunch. We will definitely return. ”

“ I absolutely love this place. I've been going since they opened (even before covid). Leo's Special #1 in the summer is my go to. The fresh spring rolls with a lil fish sauce and chili is delicious and the pho is bomb. One thing I love, is how there's always been something on the menu to accommodate my dietary needs. Sometimes I take a break from meats and animal products and can still enjoy a satisfying vegan pho. Same when I'm taking a hiatus from carbs, I'll order the veggie pho with chicken and no noodles. Still tasty and filling. I've gone in after a long day at the office and just enjoyed a glass of wine. It's recently been remodeled and the ambiance is pretty chill. I dig this place. ”

“ Clean including restrooms. A few lights out in restaurant. Friendly and efficient service. My Bun Bo Hue: side of bean sprouts not super fresh, basil fresh. Broth spicy but lacked lemongrass. Noodles had nice bouncy texture. Beef slices were the highlight- tender, lean and thinly sliced; nice tendon; pork sausage lacked flavor. Overall 3.7 Hubs' Vermicelli Bowl: Full-flavored side broth, savory variety of meats and shrimp, generous portion. Fresh marinated veggies and a yummy meat egg roll. Overall 4.0 Next time will try the veggie pho with tofu. Extra $3 to use credit card. Our total with tip 43. We paid cash. No appetizers or drinks. Recommend. ~EG Eats ”

“ "They could serve me a boiled-down shoe in this broth and I'd feel like I ate like a KING!"- my husband, referring to their spicy beef noodle soup. Their portions are generous, and the temperature is PERFECT. It's hot, but not so hot that you have to let it cool down before diving in. I cannot get enough of their pho with sirloin; I practically dream about their broth. For my fellow water snobs, they served bottled water and that was heavenly. Tap water in Mesa is gross and I appreciate that it was nowhere near me this evening. Service is efficient and no-frills, and the overall vibe is relaxed and slow. The only complaint I have is the lighting, which is at once harsh and too dim. ”
